ONCE, como uso esta palavra?

It´s been a while since our last post. Quite busy these days.

Mas vamos lá. Hoje surgiu uma dúvida em aula e novamente aproveito a chance para explicar para o pessoal da rede. O que significa ONCE?. Veja:

Pode significar EM UMA OCASIÃO, UMA VEZ, ON ONE OCCASION

I went to Disney once when I was a teenager.

I take English classes once a week.

 

Pode significar  ”ERA UMA VEZ…” , AT SOME TIME IN THE PAST

Once (upon the time) there was a beautiful princess living in a castle.

 

Também pode significar ASSIM QUE , indicando que tal coisa acontecerá se a condição for cumprida.

She´s going back to San Francisco once her mother arrives.

I would like to talk to you once you have finished your work.

Once you´re ready we can go.

Once you´ve finished College I´m sure you´ll find a good job.
